About

We Meet You Where You Are

Jerri Middleton, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both California and Alabama, has been practicing social work for 15 years. She is deeply committed to serving with a trauma-informed lens and empowering organizations to integrate this framework into their operations. Currently, Jerri works in private practice, providing individual and group psychotherapy services to survivors of sexual violence. Jerri earned her Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from Texas Tech University, her Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Alabama, and her Doctorate in Social Work (DSW) from California Baptist University. Her diverse professional experience spans psychiatric and substance use treatment, child welfare, residential care for children and teens, community social work, family services with Head Start/Early Head Start, and clinical social work in a wide range of settings. In addition to her private practice, Jerri is an Assistant Professor of Social Work at California Baptist University, where she teaches in both the undergraduate (BSW) and graduate (MSW) programs within the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences. Guided by social work’s core values, she blends her clinical expertise with her role as an educator. Her research focuses on trauma-informed, transdisciplinary support for survivors of sexual violence. Outside of her professional life, Jerri is a wife, mother of two, and enjoys spending time in the outdoors.
